The Kentucky Jewish Council Leads the way in combatting antisemitism in the Commonwealth, whether in government, on campus, or in Public Life.

In 2021, The Kentucky Jewish Council led the effort to make Kentucky the first state to recognize the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Definition of Antisemitism.

When issues of antisemitism come up, the KJC is consistently there to address and educate on the issues.

BDS

In 2019, KJC activists, working together with CUFI leaders, succeeded in making Kentucky the 26th state to adopt a law condemning and refusing to contract with the antisemitic BDS Movement.

Efforts continue to expand those laws, with constitutional offers working with the Kentucky Jewish Council in the past year to address issues as they arise.

ISRAEL

The Kentucky Jewish Council is the most prominent organization promoting and strengthening the bonds between Israel and the Commonwealth of Kentucky

This includes through work with the Israeli Consulate, increasing city cooperation, and building agricultural ties, as well s prompting visits for state officials, and recognizing that bond in our state house.

EDUCATION

The Kentucky Jewish Council supports a myriad of Education opportunities across the Commonwealth, including Antisemitism Awareness Seminars in the Kentucky State Legislature, Holocaust Education and Remembrance Week at the University of Kentucky, and speaking engagements across the Commonwealth.
